Refund and Update Policy

All purchased Union Micro products grant you free updates*.

Copyable Items
Updates for most copyable items are automatically distributed by me. Because you aren’t allowed to transfer it, I can assume that you still have it.

Most of my recent products that require periodic updates feature the ability to automatically contact an update server and deliver your updates automatically.

There are absolutely no refunds on copyable items, EVER. Why? Because I can never be 100% sure that you don’t still have a copy of the product in your inventory. However, you’re entitled to replacements. Most times you can get the product redelivered in-world at one of our redelivery stations at Union Micro – this only works if you’ve bought the item in-world.

No-copy Items
Updates for non-copyable items are done manually. It is your responsibility to contact me for updates. Almost all of my recent items are copyable and feature automatic updates and the older no-copy items haven’t been updated in a long time.

The process for this type of update is to contact me when I’m online, and drop your non-copyable item on me. I will then send you a new, boxed replacement.

*Free updates will be provided at my discretion. You are responsible for setting up and configuring your updated product. I may deem new versions of certain products as separate product lines when the changes are major (for example going from version 1.x.x to 2.x.x).
If you think this is not fair think of the real world. Microsoft doesn’t offer you a free upgrade from Office 2000 to Office 2003. 😛 That being said, previous owners of said product may receive a discount.
